A Very SoMo Easter

It’s the most colorful time of the year and Easter festivities are underway in South Mobile County! It’s a time of year to spend time with your family and friends. Get outside, enjoy the coastal sunshine and partake in Easter activities!

Here’s what’s going on around SoMo this Easter:

Easter Egg Hunts

Join us for some “eggstra” special Easter fun! On March 19, Bellingrath Gardens & Home will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on the Great Lawn. Thousands of Easter eggs will decorate the luxurious lawn for children to scurry and collect. There will be special hunts for different age groups as well as prizes, candy, and activities, which makes this a perfect event for your entire family.

The Easter Egg Hunts will begin at 9 AM on the Great Lawn. Children are invited to participate in one of three Egg Hunts depending on their age:

  • Age 3 and under: A continuous Easter Egg Hunt from 9 – 10:30 AM.
  • Ages 4 – 6: Easter Egg Hunt from 10 – 10:15 AM.
  • Ages 7 – 11: Easter Egg Hunt from 10:15 – 10:30 AM.

Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your child’s Easter Egg Hunt to allow plenty of time to walk from the Entrance Building to the Great Lawn. We ask that children bring their own basket or bag to collect eggs and treats.

The Town of Dauphin Island will host an Easter Egg Hunt on March 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Green Park.  Come search for eggs, meet the Easter Bunny and take a picture!

The community of Dauphin Island will sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt at Cadillac Square on Saturday, March 31 at 10 am and kids are encouraged to bring their favorite basket to fill with colorful eggs. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for memorable photo ops for the entire family!
