Dauphin Island Easter

It’s never too late to plan a relaxing getaway! How does collecting sea shells on Easter sound? This year make your way down to Dauphin Island with your family.

Dauphin Island thrives upon its emphasis on low-key, family-oriented vacations. Forget road congestion, water parks, and outlet malls – the island doesn’t even have the need for a traffic light. Instead, envision bike paths, walking trails, seven miles of white sandy beach and simplicity centered upon outdoor recreation and the environment. Our little island is perfect for the family time you are looking for this Easter.

On Easter Sunday, start the morning early with our annual Community Easter Sunrise Service. The service will begin at 6:30 a.m. on the Great Lawn within the walls of Fort Gaines and it is open to everyone in the community. Free admission will be given to guests from 6 to 7 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Those who will be attending are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blanket.

For an amazing Easter breakfast, “Lighthouse Bakery” is a local favorite. However, they will be closed on Easter Sunday, so we recommend going to pick out your favorite breakfast pastries a day or two in advance!

Whether you partake in an adventure, explore history, stroll through our bird sanctuary, or simply lounge in the sand enjoying a warm Gulf breeze we hope that your families’ Dauphin Island Easter is just what you are looking for!
